Hey guys, last week was a bit on the crazy busy side yet again. I was the duty manager for my region (roughly 4000 sq kms) so I worked 7 days in a row and was responsible for around 350 techs, I call it hell week. To add to the fun, on Saturday I was also doing recruiting/interviewing people for a job with my company, we had just over 200 people there, I interviewed about 35 of them. Sunday felt like I spent the entire day on my cell phone, all in I averaged a call every 15 mins, it was brutal.
Sunday also happened to be my 2 year anniversary with my BF :) We ended up going to the restaurant we went to for our very first date. Well not the exact same one as that one is about 300kms away, but the same one recently opened up near our home. Overall a pretty decent meal, I almost filled up on the free nacho chips and salsa LOL (they were sooo good). As a present to both of us I ended up buying this really nice home theatre sofa, the ones where all the seats recline and each have their own cup holder and arm rest. I love it, I’ve already fallen asleep in it, the funny thing is our puppy doesn’t know what to do now, he is used to sitting on the back of the couch at the top where you would rest your head, but that isn’t possible now, so he wanders or if I have my foot rest out and the chair reclined he lays on my legs.
I finished reading Hogan's book last week and have now moved onto a new one. This one is written by General Rick Hillier (ret), he was the CDS (Chief of defense staff) for the Canadian Forces, for my friends south of the border it would be the equivalent of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. It's an interesting look at the politics behind the military, as he is IMHO the main reason of the about face for the military in the right direction. He had very strong views of what our military should and should not be and what would be required to get there and he certainly had no problems letting everyone know what his opinion was. Some would say that that was one of his main reasons he lost his job however, that he wouldn’t play the political games and that by just telling it like it is on a few occasions was a bit of an embarrassment to the Prime Minister and the gov't.
Well I’ve gotta get back to work damn year end reviews

started reading again
There's something about reading that really relaxes me, in the past I did it frequently but recently I had gone away from it and i've been missing that lately. Well just before Christmas I heard Hulk Hogan on the radio a few times plugging his new book and well I was going to buy it and ended up getting it for Christmas :) Now as some background info I used to be into wrestling huge, I mean i've been to countless house shows, I still remember going to shows back at Maple Leaf Gardens with my dad over 20 years ago, and I even had ring side seats for Wrestlemania when it was at the Skydome (still have my seat). I will say the book is a great read, I'm about 3/4's through it from this week alone, it is a great recounting of not only his early life before hulkamaina ran wild, but of the very public split with his wife (it's a very common theme throughout the book). Overall anyone that was or still may be a fan, it's a must read, I'd put it up there with Ric Flairs book.
Been Busy
I've been really busy lately sorry for the lack of updates, on with the news.
Real World D.C. - I will say i'm not usually a fan of "reality tv" due to the simple fact that it is pretty much 75% if not more scripted. Now that being said I started watching the show mostly due to the promo I saw. There's a bi guy on it named Mike and his story really speaks to me, he comes from a Christian household, he knew at a young age that he was different but didnt really act on it till in his 20's, he has supportive parents but they have certain fears about how his life will be harder, and well he's hot :) Our stories are so similar it's scary, even his reaction for his first time at the gay bar was pretty much the same. It should be interesting, lets see what happens.
